Festival
Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A
wonderful arts and crafts festival, this community oriented event is the
primary source of income for the Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve,
Inc., a non-profit organization providing volunteer assistance and
financial support to the preserve. The Art Arbor Festival combines
visual art and crafts with music and environmental exhibits, and offers
opportunities for the public to learn about the preserve. See the Green
Stage and Wildlife Shows along with the Music Stage.

Festival

and arts and crafts festival in one of the most historic neighborhoods

35th St. Petersburg International Folk Fair, SPIFFS
Albert Whitted Park. 480 Bayshore Dr. S.E. Time TBD. Ethnic villages
will capture the flavor of each country. Costumed villagers demonstrate
time-honored hand craftsmanship and prepare ethnic food specialties for
visitors. Dance, drink, eat and shop your way around the world as you
move from village to village sampling a variety of homemade ethnic
dishes prepared before your eyes, International market place and be
entertained by live music and entertainers from the villages. The
spectacular Grand Opening Ceremonies at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 7,
when members of the many SPIFFS ethnic groups will parade around the
park, led by colorful Bands, Pipers & African Drummers. Folk Fair is
your chance to travel the world in a day - without leaving the country.

America Remembers, A Veterans Day Salute, The SPC Concert Chorus.
The Palladium at St. Petersburg College, 253 5th Ave. N. 3 p.m. THE SPC
CONCERT CHORUS, 150 voices under the direction of Vernon Taranto, Jr.,
presents: 'AMERICA REMEMBERS' A Veterans Day Salute A choral spectacular
celebrating our Armed Forces Veterans in a musical tribute to the
sacrifices they made for Liberty and Freedom. Splendid examples from the
great PATRIOTIC repertoire include: God Bless America, You're a Grand
Old Flag, America the Beautiful, I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy, America
Spread Your Golden Wings, and more. Special features for the evening
will include SPC student soloists, soprano Mary Ann Taranto, The
American Town Square Band, and a slide-show of vintage photos of
hundreds of beloved SPC friends and relatives who served our country in
