Hernando County Reading Festival

Reading can be fun! Meet author Michael Sampson; author of "Star of the Circus," "Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat, Are you waking up?," "Chicka, Chicka 1, 2, 3" and more. Plus there will be local children's authors on site. There will be free fun for the whole family including Character appearances (Spot the News Hound and the Chick-fil-A Cow), Tony the Balloon Guy, Games, face painting, door prizes Storyteller Windell Campbell, Bay News 9 Meteorologist Brian McClure, Plus there will be a hot dog, chips and drink meal available for purchase for only $2.00.
And get there early; the first 300 children will receive a goody bag. 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Nature Coast Technical High School, 4057 California Street, Brooksville
 


 

Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

Come down to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in Downtown Tampa March 6th from 9am-6pm and March 7th from 10am -5pm to enjoy one of the premiere art festivals in the country!  There will be live entertainment featuring performances by local vocalists and bands,  children's activities coordinated by the Tampa Museum of Art, food, and of course, artwork!  Visit

USF Children's Festival

The Children's Festival will take place on the USF campus near the College of Education. Children and their families are invited to enjoy a variety of different learning activities sponsored by classes, clubs, and organizations. Train Weekend in Largo Central Park

Ride the miniature trains! 10am - 4pm on the First FULL Weekend of every month

Bring a picnic to snack from, a kite to run with, a ball to kick around, or simply lie around on the grass and watch the clouds roll across the sky.  Leashed pets are welcome, as are your rambunctious kids.  Music serenades you from speakers perched up high, but feel free to bring your own tunes as well.  There is no charge for this family-fun activity, but donations are expected.  Your contributions keep the trains running.  Your enjoyment and gratitude keep the generous volunteers feeling very appreciated!
 

 

The 2nd Annual Largo Classic Car Show
