Blues Clues PartyFor all the little Blues Clues fans out there, this party is sure to be a hit!
Invitation Address a “handy dandy notebook” to each guest and add: "You just got a letter and this is what is says: Please join Blue and CHILD’S NAME for a special birthday celebration" Decorations Think blue! Streamers, banners, balloons, and ribbons in various shades of blue will get the point across. Games and Activities To help keep your little guests entertained, try some if these games:
Pin the Flag on the Mailbox A large cut out of a mailbox and a red flag for each guest is all you’ll need for this simple game.
Hot Bone A variation on the Hot Potato game.
Drop the Bone in the Jar Using a clean mayonnaise jar and milkbone dog biscuits, have the guests line up and take turns dropping bones into the jar to see who can make the most in. Food Again, think blue; blue juice, ice cream, sandwiches (check with your local bakery – colored bread can be ordered in advance), jell-o, etc. But keep in mind that not all foods are appetizing in a different color. For example, blue milk may not be a big hit. So if you want to stay away from the color theme, go with the dog theme. Serve hot dogs, corn dogs, and puppy chow (dried cereal or chex mix). For the cake, bake a round cake and four cupcakes. Place the cake in the center and arrange the cupcakes around the top outside of the cake, then frost. Viola! You have a paw print cake! Favors A bag of blue goodies will have your guests leaving with a smile. Include items such as (blue) gum, note pad and crayon, Slinky, Resources for this Theme: Oriental Trading Company, Inc. Great prices on children's party favors, decorations, lighting and more!
