Dinosaur Party

 A trip back into the Jurassic Period will have your dinosaur-loving child roaring from this birthday party.              

Invitations

Get this party off on the right foot by sending out giant dinosaur print invitations cut from a roll of wrapping paper or newsprint.  On each one, write the party details, then fold it up so that it fits in a letter-size envelope.  Preprinted dinosaur invitations can also be ordered on-line.

Decorations

Giant chalk dinosaur prints that lead up the driveway to the front door will get the guests attention that they are about to enter the Jurassic period.  Place pre-cut-out dinosaur footprints all over the floor and walls.  Greenery, real or silk, or even green streamers hung from the ceiling can give a jungle feel.

Food/Cake

Dino-dogs, dinosaur sandwiches made with cookie cutters and eggs filled with gummy dinos will fill up those dinosaur tummies.  A dinosaur cake pan will help you create a roaring cake that the kids are sure to love.

Games & Activities

Pin the Tooth on the Dinosaur - Enlarge an image of an open-mouth Tyrannosaurus Rex. Make enough paper teeth for each child and put their name on front. Blindfold and turn child three times before letting them go. Give a party prize to the tooth that comes the closest.

Ring Toss with dinosaurs

Solid plastic dinosaurs are the targets for this game. Rings can be purchased or easily made with heavy rope and duct tape. Play just as you would horse shoes or ring toss. Take turns and reward EACH child for a job well done.

Dinosaur dig

Hide dinosaurs, dog bones, rocks and even new popsicle sticks in a sandbox, either inside plastic eggs or by themselves. Let the children dig for dinosaurs and keep what they find. Watch kids closely to be sure no sand gets near their mouths!

A Dinosaur Piñata filled with candy will always be a hit at any dinosaur party.

Favors

Anything with dinosaurs will sure to please the guests including plastic dinosaurs, dinosaur stickers, dinosaur gummys, and dinosaur books.
