Finding Nemo PartyWith the introduction of Finding Nemo this summer, you kids will be swimming with party fun with all of their friends. Invitations A Nemo-shaped fish on construction paper will have all the fish swimming to your party. Write the details on the back. For pre-cut shapes, a local scrapbooking store may have one that can be used as a template. Pre-printed Nemo invitations are adorable and easily ordered online. Birthday Express Decorations Blue balloons for bubbles, "seaweed" streamers from the ceiling, even bubble sounds played on a tape recorder add to the under the sea atmosphere.
Food Gold fish crackers and fish shaped finger sandwiches (buy a fish shaped cookie cutter to cut the bread into fish shapes) will have the fish jumping for more.
Games & Activities Fish, Fish, Shark - this game is based on the traditional “Duck, Duck, Goose” game, but instead of a goose chasing a duck, a shark chases a fish. Have the guests sit in a circle. Choose one child to be “it” first. Have the first person go around and gently tap each child on the head saying fish, fish, fish… When they want to select a shark then tap the child and say shark. The shark runs around the circle chasing the fish until the fish makes it back around the circle once. The shark is then “it” for the next round. Finding Nemo - before the party, cut and hide paper clown fish with each child's name written on it. Each child will find a fish, then work together to find the fish with their own name. Fish tags are redeemed to receive a party bag! Favors Individual packs of gold-fish crackers, gummy fish, starfish shaped chocolates, pencils with fish designs, under the sea stickers and tatoos will make a splash! Many fun Finding Nemo themed goodies are also now available. Resources for this Theme: Oriental Trading Company, Inc. Great prices on children's party favors, decorations, lighting and more!
